Prove it existed. On-chain.
Hash any document in your browser, wrap the digest in a versioned envelope, and anchor it to the Quantus blockchain with a byte-exact System.remark extrinsic β post-quantum sealed from the genesis block. Anyone can verify it later, with or without this desk.
remark_with_event β emits System.Remarked1 Β· What are you anchoring?
2 Β· On-chain footprint
remark_with_event emits a System.Remarked { sender, hash } event (hash = Blake2-256 of your bytes), so anyone β including the Remark Board β can find your anchor later. Plain remark stores the same bytes for ~the same fee but emits no event, so it is only discoverable by scanning extrinsics.

Anchors you built in the Timestamp Studio, stored only in this browser (localStorage). Record the block number once your extrinsic lands.
The public remark board
Every System.Remarked event this desk observes, decoded live. Envelopes built here render as document cards; anything else renders verbatim.
Notary envelope v1 β the spec
Anyone can verify a QTC Notary anchor without this desk. The remark bytes are:
| Field | Bytes | Value |
|---|---|---|
| magic | 51 4E 4F 54 2F 31 | ASCII "QNOT/1" |
| algo | 01 or 02 | 0x01 = SHA-256, 0x02 = BLAKE2b-256 |
| digest | 32 bytes | the document digest |
| label | compact length + UTF-8 | 0β64 bytes, human description |
Verification recipe (independent)
- Hash your document with the stated algorithm β compare with the envelope digest.
- Rebuild the envelope bytes exactly as above β hash them with Blake2-256 (the runtime's
T::Hashing). - Find the
System.Remarked { sender, hash }event (pallet 0, event variant 5) carrying that hash β the block number is your timestamp, the sender is your attestor.

Honest limits
- A timestamp proves a document existed no later than its block β it says nothing about authorship beyond the sender key, and nothing about the document's truth.
- Remarks are public forever. Never anchor secrets or plaintext you wouldn't publish.
- Plain
remark(no event) is only discoverable by scanning raw extrinsics β preferremark_with_eventunless you need the cheapest footprint. - Fees quoted here are the exact length fee; the small weight fee depends on runtime benchmarks and is quoted separately where shown.
