Know before you quote.
How Airlock works, where the numbers come from, and what’s available today.
Explore without connecting
Choose two tokens, enter an amount, and see an indicative swap quote. You can browse markets and tokens without a wallet. Connecting Nautilus adds a read-only view of your address and ERG balance.
How quotes are estimated
The Spectrum price-tracking feed publishes market prices and volumes, but not pool reserves. Airlock estimates the reserves needed for a constant-product quote using this method:
Split 50/50 by value at the spot price.
- Read the market’s last price, expressed as quote tokens per base token.
- Use the larger of base volume × price and quote volume.
- Multiply that volume by 10 to estimate depth.
- Split the estimate equally by value, then apply x × y = k math and modeled fees.
The depth multiplier is an assumption. Quotes, price impact, and minimum received are indicative. Actual execution could differ substantially. Token-to-token routes use two pools through ERG.
Snapshot and live data
Airlock loads its bundled snapshot first so you can start quickly, then tries to refresh from Spectrum. If the request fails or the API blocks browser access, the timestamped snapshot stays in use. The data badge always identifies the source and its time. “Refresh” attempts another update; it cannot make an old snapshot current.
Transparent fee estimates
Applied to each route leg, retained in the estimated reserves.
Applied once to the initial input. No fees are collected in v1.
For two-leg routes, pool fees are displayed in their respective tokens. A first-leg token fee and a second-leg ERG fee are not added together.
Planned protocol fee recipient
This address is retained from the original project. Fees would only be collected after on-chain settlement is implemented.
Your wallet stays yours
The wallet dialog supports Nautilus through its EIP-12 connector. Airlock requests your change address and ERG balance only, after you click connect. No seed phrase or signature is requested. Disconnect in the wallet dialog to revoke the connection.
If the extension is missing or you decline the connection, quotes and market browsing still work. Wallet behavior has been checked with a simulated connector; a real extension connection still needs live verification.
What’s next
Explore & preview
Quote previews, token discovery, market browsing, and read-only wallet connection.
On-chain settlement
The original roadmap proposes adapting Spectrum’s contracts, testing on testnet, and seeking community review before enabling swaps and liquidity actions.
More ways to trade
Deeper routing and limit orders after settlement is established.
Things to know
- Estimated liquidity: the app cannot observe actual reserves from this price feed.
- Stale data: snapshot prices reflect their labeled timestamp, not current execution prices.
- Token lookalikes: tickers and names do not establish identity. Verify the full 64-character token ID.
- Unaudited code: this project has not received a security audit.
- Future settlement risks: public mempool ordering, front-running, pool-box contention, and executor behavior would need to be addressed before on-chain swaps launch.
