Envelope marker prl-notary — deliberately distinct from prl-20, so token indexers never mistake it for a token operation.
Key & network
Notary signs both transactions locally — your key never leaves this page. Generate a fresh key or import your own.
Fund this address with enough PRL for the commit (owner output + fees), then continue.
Commit
The commit transaction locks funds to the Taproot address that commits to your envelope — without revealing it yet.
Funding UTXOs
Reveal
Once the commit confirms, the reveal spends it via the script path and publishes your envelope on-chain.
The seal
Your notarization is on-chain. This certificate is the audit trail — keep it with the document.
Pearl Notary — Certificate of Existence
Verify a notarization
Give the verifier the document and the reveal txid. We re-hash the document, fetch the reveal from blockbook, parse its witness exactly like an indexer would, and compare.

Honest limits
- Sealing costs real PRL on a live chain. A notarization is two on-chain transactions (commit, then reveal) — it needs a funded address and a reachable Blockbook endpoint. Nothing here broadcasts without your click, and nothing here can seal without funds.
- The chain is the witness, not a lawyer. This is proof-of-existence timestamping — it proves a document existed at a time, not who wrote it or whether it is true. Nothing here is legal advice.
- Your document never leaves this machine. Only its SHA-256 fingerprint is engraved on-chain; the file or text you drop here is hashed locally.
- Confirmations matter. The reveal is only valid once the commit transaction confirms — revealing early burns the fee and seals nothing.
- Keys live in this page's memory only. Generated or imported secrets are never sent anywhere; reloading the page forgets them. Back up any key that guards real funds.
